Hi, I’m Jilene!
I am a DC Creative who believes in the power of storytelling and is currently UX/UI Designer and the founder of fashion media site THE STORIED LIFE and its fashion podcast of the same name. I have fostered increased profitability and consistent growth everywhere I have applied my talents.
I believe that storytelling and social media has the ability to string together the collective human experience. Use of creative visual narratives has the power to engage us immediately. When wielded responsibly, social media can connect us all and be a powerful tool for individual identity formation and challenge social change.
I am a highly trained and experienced UX/UI Designer with over 10 years of experience in project management and 7 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, graphic design and brand marketing. I bring a unique perspective to my work; combining an aesthetic eye and leveraging my educational background in behavioral psychology.
I am enthusiastic about designing effective user interfaces that cultivate a lasting bond between consumers and brand associations. Working in human- centered design with creative companies is where my passions and calling collide.
Design that is useful and modern excites me. Helping people is my jam, and I take pride in effectively enhancing any company or organization.
I have experience working for female-owned businesses and creative start-ups in media design. I also have experience in creative consulting with fashion/lifestyle bloggers and non-profit clients working to address modern-day injustices that promote social and cultural change.
